We’re Number One!

Not only are we the country’s number one domestic airline, but Cebu Pacific’s 92 direct weekly flights is the most number of ASEAN routes and destinations from the Philippines than any other airline. We’re number one in the region and proud to offer so many choices, at great fares. Outside the ASEAN region, we also fly to Taipei, Hong Kong, Macau, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Seoul and Pusan, and there are more destinations to come this year. Keep your eyes peeled!

According to the UBS Investment Research report from January to September 2007, domestic air travel passenger growth in the Philippines is higher, at 23 per cent, even than China (a 16 per cent growth rate). We are rated third in the world, after India and Mexico (33 and 27 per cent). There were almost
10.4 million travelers in the Philippines in 2007. Cebu Pacific is really leading the way and CEO Mr Lance Gokongwei says:

“Its noteworthy that the top seven growth areas for tourist arrivals in 2007 are areas where CEB started or expanded operations over the past year. We believe this is because of our trademark low fares.”

Cebu Pacific’s vision is being realized as we get nearer to our dream of making travel accessible for every Juan.

“As the leading domestic carrier in the Philippines, we know that we are able to effectively bring air travel closer to more Filipinos,” explains Mr Gokongwei. “This has always been our vision as an airline and we intend to continue with our expansion in order to bring our low fares to more people.”

More beaches, more culture, more flights

We are increasing flight frequency to two popular destinations, Zamboanga, cultural melting pot and home to an exciting mixture of people and lifestyles, and Puerto Princesa, the Philippines’ upcoming luxury destination with news announced that the Banyan Tree will soon be opening, among others.

From 8 May, flights from Manila to Puerto Princesa will increase from ten times a week to twice daily. New flights leave Manila at 2.30pm and return from Puerto Princesa at 4.15pm.

From 6 June, flights to Zamboanga will run ten times per week, departing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Manila at 2pm, and returning from Zamboanga at 4.05pm.
