PERMANENT FARE CUT DOWN

Longing to get out of town on a holiday but afraid you’ll bust your budget? Cebu Pacific lets you tick off one less thing to worry about – they’ve slashed their domestic ticket fares by as much as 32% for good. Thanks to the newly introduced “all-in” pricing format, booking is much easier. As a passenger, you know immediately the total amount you need to pay. Starting June 12, a one-way Manila-Davao ticket costs only PHP2,488 – “all-in” – while a Manila-Cebu one-way fare is just PHP1,448. With this much savings on airfare, hopping from one destination to another becomes so easy!

“We really hope that this new move is deemed as a positive change in the industry and we encourage other airlines to do the same,” says Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and product.

If you love Taipei, you’ll enjoy exploring yet another Taiwan destination. Cebu Pacific now adds Kaoshiung, Taiwan’s second largest city, to its growing network of destinations. Dubbed as the Harbor Capital, Kaohsiung is home to the Love River, where romantic souls can delight in a lovely cruise that sails day and night. And since it is a seaport city, expect only the freshest seafood served in these parts. From June 7, CEB runs three direct flights to Kaohsiung every week: On Tuesday and Thursday, it leaves from Manila at 11:40am and arrives in Kaohsiung at 1:25pm. Return flights leave at 1:55pm, landing in Manila at 3:40pm. On Saturdays, the flight heads off at 4:55pm and touches down in Kaohsiung at 6:40pm. Returning, it departs for Manila at 7:10pm and arrives at 8:55pm.

CEB is the only Filipino airline operating this route, with one-way fares starting at only PHP1,499. To book your ticket, just click on www.cebupacificair.com

DCC: YOUR ONLINE MONEY CHANGER

With the Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) facility on Cebu Pacific’s website, you can now pay for your flights in your local currency. For example, if you’re using a US-issued credit card, you can purchase a flight quoted in PHP (the sale currency) using the USD amount (the DCC payment currency). The biggest benefit you get with this system? There are no surprises when you get your billing, since the DCC amount you paid for online is what will show up on your credit card bill.
