Get a High with Flights from Shanghai
Cebu Pacific (CEB) currently operates a daily Airbus A320 service from Shanghai to Manila, leaving Shanghai at 12.30am and the return flight departing Manila at 8.20pm. The lowest possible year-round “Go Lite” fare for the Shanghai-Manila route is CNY480 (PHP3,399). Passengers with check-in luggage will just add CNY20 (PHP100) upon booking
From Manila, CEB’s network connects to 32 Philippine destinations, including the metropolitan cities of Cebu and Davao, and major tourist beach destinations like Boracay (Kalibo), Palawan (Puerto Princesa) and Bohol (Tagbilaran).
“With the economy today, we see that most business and leisure travelers need more great value products. CEB is a high-quality low-cost carrier that can bring passengers to the Philippines with the utmost convenience and ease, for the least expensive fare,” said CEB VP for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.
CEB also flies from Guangzhou to Manila every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, giving more choices for travel between China and the Philippines. Book your flights at www.cebupacificair.com
More Flights From Cebu To Butuan
Travelers to the city of Butuan, in the northeastern part of the Agusan Valley in Mindanao, will be happy to know that Cebu Pacific has upped its flights from Cebu to Butuan, from seven flights per week to 11 flights per week. “This can help stimulate tourism and the economy so passengers can maximize our extensive domestic network,” says Candice Iyog, CEB VP for marketing and distribution. Where formerly, passengers could fly daily, leaving Cebu at 1.30pm and returning at 2.45pm, now, they can also leave Cebu at 6am and return at 7.10pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. No Need to Travel Light!
Good news! For six months until June 30, 2010, Cebu Pacific (CEB) will be extending its 30kg free baggage allowance (FBA) for all international flights from Clark’s International Airport to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Bangkok.
“Many of our passengers are delighted about the 30kg FBA promo because it allows them to bring home even more pasalubongs and luggage to their destinations, especially during the holidays. We are extending this successful promo to give more chances for guests to take advantage of this special Clark offer,” says Candice Iyog, CEB VP for marketing and distribution.
CEB flies six times weekly from Clark to Hong Kong, four times weekly to Macau, three times weekly to Bangkok and daily to Singapore.
According to Iyog, the hope is that more passengers will opt to fly from Clark, as it is only just one hour from Manila and just as convenient, not to mention nearer to cities in the Northern Luzon area. To book your flight, simply log on to www.cebupacificair.com
Travel fun with the Travel Fund
Passengers on Cebu Pacific can now rest easy when it comes to their flights. Thanks to the company’s newest, customer-friendly innovation, the Travel Fund, you needn’t deal with the hassle of cancellations, rebooking and rescheduling. It’s your “virtual wallet” in which you can store the value of your unused tickets for use at a later date.
• If you need to rebook or cancel your flight, you can store the value of your unused ticket and use it within 90 days of the original flight date.
• If your flight is canceled or delayed by at least three hours, you can refund the value of your ticket or store it in the Travel Fund, all without charge. You may then rebook your flight without charge.
• If your flight is disrupted due to weather conditions or force majeure situations, you can rebook without any charges, so long as you travel within 30 days of the original flight date.
• If your plans change, you can also transfer your booking to another person for a corresponding name change fee. That’s flexibility! To set up your own Travel Fund, go to www.cebupacificair.com
Sweet Victory for the Philippine team
Last November 20, the Philippine Women’s Team bested five other teams and 100 competitors at the Asian Underwater Hockey Championships held in Singapore. In fact, the Cebu Pacific-sponsored team won three golds and a silver during the event that pitted them against Tokyo’s Chiba Underwater Hockey Club and Singapore’s Stirling Underwater Hockey Club.
It was a sweet victory for all, but most especially the team captain Chari Ongyanco, whose home had been damaged by the rains of Typhoon Ondoy just two months before the competition. She nonetheless led her members to win, proving that a passion to win makes no excuses. www.puhc.com.ph

CEB is the only airline that flies from Thailand to Clark, making this route the quickest and easiest way to travel through the Northern parts of the Philippines.
